Remove protective cap (Note: Leave cap on during sterilization).
Turn Twist-Locks so they are standing up straight.
Align two halves, so their sanitary shields are facing each other (Note: Make sure sanitary shields are folded over).
Press halves together until one hears an audible ‘click’ and twist-locks are engaged.
Pull the handles until the sanitary shields are fully removed from the connector.
Insert two twist-locks through the assembled connector.
Turn both twist-locks counter clockwise until they are locked in place.
